The Wheel - as one of the major breakthroughs in human civilization, has inspired the invention of complex machines, all designed for the man's big leap from the stone age to his present computer-aided-existence. It has served him as log rollers transporting massive stone boulders for the pyramids of Egypt, to the wheels of the moon buggies cruising the lunar landscape. It is with the inspiration brought about by this simple machine, that the group decided its name. BAPC WHEELTEK
BAPC WHEELTEK, is an aggrupation of cycling enthusiasts all showing a common vision of enjoying the thrill of discovering places that cannot be accessed by regular transport means; whose spirit has been sparked by the availability of second hand foreign bikes. Outmoded through our units are, we contentendly nest on the goal of just enjoying the ride at the same time shedding a few ounces of sweat and fat. but as human nature and the progressively challenging trails dictate, some members with enough cash to spare, have decided to upgrade their units to meet the demands of each newly discovered routes. And up till the present, it is relatively rare for a unit w/out any add-ons and improvisations.
Much of the group's pride stem from the testimonies of active members, expressing willingness to convince would be first timers, of the physical benefit each derived from the exercise.
The group has a unit dedicated to explore new, untrodden trails for the group's enjoyment and a second unit in charge to orient new members on tips to do it right and to program their immersion to minimize physical and muscular pains. Membership is open, while guest riders are welcome to join in our regular weekly rides.
